這兩天華爾街日報在鼓吹推蔫已經九十一歲的美國作曲家及寫詞家 Stephen Sondheim 競逐諾貝爾文學獎, Sodheim 寫過不少音樂劇, 最有名的是 West Side Story.
2016 年的諾貝爾文學獎頒給美國民謡歌手 Dob Dylan, 我寫了一篇文章如下:
2016 年的諾貝爾文學獎頒給美國民謡歌手 Dob Dylan, 主事的瑞典學院 Swedish Academy 稱 Dylan (中譯 - 狄倫) 的歌 "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” (創造了美國歌謡傳統裏新起的詩式表達), 頒文學獎給一個歌手也是諾貝爾獎的新奇突破, 各界反應不一, 褒貶皆有, 讚揚者稱將歌謠視為文學就如新起的彩虹, 振奮人心, 令人耳目一新, 貶抑者則認為這就像 Mrs. Field Cookies 得到米其林三星, 有些荒唐.
