星期天的下午, 我去游泳, 健身中心的人不多, 我走進大門的時候, 櫃台的小姐很友善地對我微笑, 我拿出會員卡刷卡的時候, 注意到櫃枱上多了一盆盆景, 非常鮮綠, 我不由自主地去摸好像才發芽的葉子, 不是真的, 我有些失望, 抬頭跟櫃檯的黑人小姐說 This is not real, 黑人小姐回我一句, So It will never die…我一時興起, 回她一句 Because it never lives, 我用我的指甲去掐花瓣, 黑人小姐看了, 又說 It won’t hurt, 我回她一句 Because it does not have feeling… 然後我們兩人都笑起來了, 另外一位罩了頭髮的索馬利亞小姐也跟著笑出來, You two are quite a philosopher…,
我想起那首老歌 Feelings… Feelings 是巴西的一位歌星 Morris Albert 在 1974 年寫的歌, 歌詞也是他自己寫的, 這首歌世界知名, 曾經是美國當代成人流行歌曲排行榜第二名, The Adult Contemporary Chart, 在台灣歌仔戲女明星楊麗花將之改編用歌仔戲唱法在電視上表演, 因此不懂英文的阿公阿媽都能夠哼唱幾句.
