各位朋友們平安, 今天的週末問安的主題是 So in Love.
So in Love 這首歌是美國百老匯作曲家 Cole Porter 寫的曲子, Cole Porter 是所謂的 American Song Writer, 是百老匯音樂劇作曲家裏很少有的非猶太裔, 在三零年代, 幾乎所有百老匯音樂劇作曲家都是歐洲移民來的猶太人, 他們有嚴𧫴的古典音樂訓練, 在充滿自由之風的美國, 創作的的泉源不停湧現, 很快地就成為百老匯的主流作曲群, Cole Porter 生於 Indiana, 是土生土長的美國人, 因此他的音樂沒有猶太人的 Yidish 味道, 是道道地地的美國本土作品, 他另外一個特色是自己寫歌詞, 歌詞反映美國的本土文化, 因此他的歌深受美國人喜歡, 大家稱 Porter 為 American Song Writer.
So in Love 這首曲子是 Porter 音樂劇 Kiss Me Kate 裏面的曲子, Kiss Me Kate 的故事取材自莎士比亞的馴悍記 The Taming of the Shrew, 這齣劇是喜劇，因此劇裡的唱法是輕快而愉悅的. 開頭您已經聽過了.
但 Porter 寫這齣劇的時候, 他的妻子 Linda 病重, 據說這首 So in Love 變成 Porter 要藉由這首曲子傳達他對不久人世的妻子的哀傷愛意, 因此有些版本的唱法變成嚴肅甚至嘔心瀝血的陳述，這裡分享的雙重唱非常感人， Renee Fleming 和 男中音 Bryn Terfel 所唱。
